Austrian Automobile Manufacturers That Made History
The history of mobility in Austria is a passion for Friedrich and Ronald Fehr, best showcased in their Oldtimer Museum in Wiener Neustadt. This winter season, the museum highlights the oldest Austrian automobile brand, "Gräf & Stift," with a dedicated 500m² exhibition space.
Founded by Ferdinand Gräf and his three sons in 1896, Gräf & Stift produced its first automobiles, leveraging technical skill and business acumen. They later acquired Wilhelm Stift's "Celeritas" and established the "Wiener Automobilfabrik AG Gräf & Stift."
The exhibition features 15 selected vehicles that tell the story of this historic company, including the challenges faced before and after World War I. We owe this collection to the “Verein zur Förderung der historischen Fahrzeuge der Österreichischen Automobilfabriken” and our friends in the vintage car community.
Friedrich, Ronald, and the exhibition team look forward to your visit to this special exhibition, organized by Lisl and Heinz Mesicek in collaboration with Stefan Reitgruber, chairman of the association. Today, the logo—a lion—reminds us of early public mobility and iconic buses.
